Revised Opening Hours

Due to staffing changes, the Music & Drama
library has had to revise term-time opening hours.

From Monday 30th January 2012, the library’s opening hours will be as follows:

Monday: 9:30-9:30
Tuesday: 9:30-9:30
Wednesday: 9:30-5:30
Thursday: 9:30-9:30
Friday: 9:30-5:00

The library will open most Saturdays from 9:30am-1pm. See the Saturday schedule for full details.

New Drama Database

Twentieth Century Drama is now available in the library. This database contains published plays from the English speaking world dating from the 1890s to the present day. The collection includes works by George Bernard Shaw, Sean O’Casey, Noël Coward, Eugene O’Neill, Harold Pinter and Tom Stoppard. Drama Database Trial

A trial of the Twentieth Century Drama database will be available in the library from December 12th.

The Library of the Society for Musicology in Ireland: Barra Boydell Collection

The DIT Conservatory of Music & Drama is delighted to announce that the library of the Society for Musicology in Ireland is now available for consultation. The SMI’s library is housed in the library of the DIT Conservatory of Music & Drama Rathmines and was inaugurated earlier this year with the donation by Professor Barra Boydell of part of his personal collection of books, theses, scores and miniature scores. This collection is now available for reference, the contents of which can be seen here. All members of the Society for Musicology in Ireland are welcome to visit and consult the materials in both the SMI library and the DIT library. Bank Holiday

The Music and Drama library will close on Saturday the 29th of October and Monday, the 31st of October for the Bank Holiday. Normal opening hours will resume on Tuesday, 1st of November.
